JAIPUR CERTIFIED AS WORLD HERITAGE SITE BY UNESCO
Jaipur was certified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO Director, General Audrey Azoulay, at a mega event held at the historic Albert Hall in the Pink City on 5thFeb 2020. Azoulay presented the World Heritage City certificate to Minister of Urban Development Shanti Dhariwal.
While speaking at the event, Azoulay said, "UNESCO will collaborate with Rajasthan Government's Tourism department to develop Western Rajasthan for tourism."

KERALA TOPS LIST OF MOST WELCOMING PLACES: 2nd YEAR IN A ROW
Kerala has topped the list of ‘the most welcoming places’ in the country for the second consecutive year with four of its cities/tourism spots finding place among the list of top 10 such places this year.
According to a ranking by international travel site Booking.com’s ‘traveller review awards 2020, Mararikulam, Varkala, Thekkady and Kollam in Kerala have found their place in the top 10 list. The second state in the list is Goa with Agonda and Palolem, says a statement issued by Booking.com on Wednesday.

UDAIPUR’S FAMOUS FATEH PRAKASH PALACE IS NOW TAJ FATEH PRAKASH PALACE
Another heritage hotel added in the basket of Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL). Taj has added Fateh Prakash Palace in Udaipur to its collection of authentic palaces, which has now been renamed as Taj Fateh Prakash Palace.
DELTA RESUMES MUMBAI-NEW YORK FLIGHT AFTER A DECADE
Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines has resumed its non-stop flight services from Mumbai to New York, starting 24 December, almost a decade after it discontinued the route due to the stiff competition from the Gulf carriers.
Until now, India’s national carrier Air India was the only domestic operator offering a direct connectivity to John F. Kennedy International Airport from Mumbai with thrice-a-week service between the two destinations.
The new route for the airline is being served by a newly renovated Boeing 777-200LR, with seatback entertainment throughout, wifi connectivity and free mobile messaging, Delta said. This return to India in time for the holiday season marks a milestone for the carrier
INDIGO ANNOUNCES NEW FLIGHT BETWEEN AGRA AND BANGALORE
IndiGo has announced a daily direct flight between Agra and Bengaluru initiated under Regional Connectivity Scheme. With this, Agra becomes IndiGo’s 63rd domestic and 86th overall destination. Apart from Agra, IndiGo operates flight services from Varanasi, Allahabad, Lucknow, and Gorakhpur in UP.
